You can lose weight on low calories, no doubt.  But long term it will back fire and you'll get a slower metabolism.  Keep things consistent. ....

.... By continuing to eat sugar or refined carbohydrate, it will be very difficult to lose weight.  A better carbohydrate is vegetables.  The key is moderation.
